A new collection of essays on Iacopone da Todi edited by Matteo Leonardi
GIACOMO – Congratulations on the publication of this beautiful book edited by Brill! Could you please share the intended purpose of this work of yours?
MATTEO – Thank you! Actually, Brill’s volume was born from the dialogue with Alessandro Vettori, with the intention not only of making the point of Iacoponic studies in an international perspective but, in the light of the latest philological and critical acquisitions, tracing the routes of future interpretative paths of Tudertino’s work.
GIACOMO – I heard that editing this book was challenging…
MATTEO – Yes, you heard right. However, despite the understandable technical problems due to the pandemic, the volume has gathered the enthusiastic contribution of many scholars, active in Italy and outside of Italy.
GIACOMO – Hence the choice of the english language, I suppose.
MATTEO – Indeed. This decision testifies to the intention to re-establish dialogue between Italian scholars and colleagues working abroad, around the work of an author whose interest goes beyond national borders.
GIACOMO – Thank you again, Matteo! And for those interested, I add hereafter a link to the Brill’s website: https://brill.com/display/title/62047?language=en.
