The ERC AdG LAUDARE project, in collaboration with IBIMUS, the University of Trento, and the National Central Library of Rome, is pleased to announce an international conference to be held in Rome on October 20–21, 2026.
The conference aims to explore the evolution of the Italian lauda through an interdisciplinary lens.
Original contributions on the following topics are welcomed, as in the CALL FOR PAPERS
- New sources and historical contexts.
- Popular devotion and the dissemination of lauda culture.
- Interdisciplinary connections with liturgical, secular, or oratorio genres.
- Digital Humanities: new tools for research, education, and analysis.
- Performance practice and historiographical models.
Submission Details
- Deadline: July 15, 2026.
- Requirements: Abstract (max 300 words) and a short bio (max 100 words).
- Languages: English and Italian.

Accepted proposals will be notified by July 31, 2026. Selected papers will be featured in a subsequent peer-reviewed publication.
